Self-professed bootleg connoisseur Vash Vyas takes pride in serving an extensive range of alcoholic beverages to Kiwis from all walks of life in his Vintage Wines store in the heart of Auckland CBD.
After spending 25 years in the advertising, packaging design, and grocery category buying & sales his love of food and bevvies eventually won out. Vash became an accidental entrant into the alcoholic beverage scene when he stumbled upon an under-trading store not operating to its full potential.
Determined to succeed, Vash focused on improving the ranging, branding, and interior aesthetics to optimally serve people in the inner city. Located in the residential/office catchment area between Britomart and Spark Arena up to Parnell rise and lower Princess St, the store was opened in February 2017 and has served locals ever since.
Unlike other stores, Vintage Wines has the freedom to make independent ranging decisions, which is why Vash can confidently say he has one of the best selections of alcohol New Zealand has to offer.

It is important to us that our customers feel welcome and like they can talk to us about anything! We encourage our customers to speak to our knowledgeable staff about what they need so we can help them pick the best beverage for any occasion.
We can make up custom orders for customers if requested. Half a dozen regular customers currently make use of this offering. We only ask that you inform us before changing residence.
Vintage Wines is a pet and pram-friendly store. Our team are always keen to cuddle your beloved pet or watch over your baby while you browse the store.

Safety always comes before the sale at Vintage Wines. We have a locked door policy where good customers are always welcome. Our team carefully assesses and prevents individuals under the influence or displaying bad conduct from entering the premises.

Our Community
We are one of the only (if not the only) inner city community-conscious and socially responsible alcoholic-beverage retailers. Our objective is not to make money off the sorrows of people struggling with the evils of alcohol addiction but rather to provide alcohol to responsible individuals for their enjoyment.

We have the best range of craft beers in the inner city for craft beer lovers, with breweries spanning NZ and a refreshment rate of up to 30% per month.
Wine lovers are treated to the best value non-supermarket labels with boutique non-supermarket wine labels from some of New Zealand’s best winemakers and labels. We celebrate the start of every season with new wine labels and pass on supplier
discounts on wine promotions to customers. Tastings are held regularly on Friday/Saturday evenings.
For you beer bros, we have almost every New Zealand and popular international beer brand available in the year-round frosty walk-in chiller. Stay for a while at your own risk! We don’t sell cheap beer singles – sorry, folks.
RTDs are also available with popular low-sugar and low-carb options and the usual suspects. We disagree with selling cheap RTD units or bulk packs, so we sell four packs for every brand.
All Single Malts are labelled to represent regions around Scotland and international locations of origin, which makes decisions that much easier. Vintage Wines stocks a comprehensive range of blended scotch, gin, vodka, liqueurs, and tequila.
We also have a delectable range of snacks on hand to complement our drinks selection. These include handcrafted potato and corn chips, Snackachangi chips, and Huff & Puff Aussie-made pork crackle. Vintage Wines only sells the best – we don’t have el-cheapo snacks.
